Hi! I’m Lorraine, owner of Elsie Weddings and Events.

My journey began long before Elsie Weddings & Events existed. I studied Event Management in Ireland, knowing from the beginning that creating meaningful, memorable experiences was where my heart belonged. During my internship in the Algarve, Portugal, everything fell into place. I fell in love with the sunshine and the ocean, but more importantly with the magic of weddings themselves. What was meant to be temporary turned into two years planning destination weddings for couples from all across Europe.

When I moved back to Ireland in 2019, I knew I wasn’t done. I launched Elsie Weddings & Events with the hope of bringing that same sense of care, artistry, and intention to every celebration I touched. In 2023, life brought me to Toronto and my work expanded in the most beautiful way. Since moving to the city, I’ve had the privilege of planning and coordinating a wide range of cultural weddings across the GTA, each teaching me more about tradition, connection, and the many ways love can be celebrated. 

By day, I create large-scale corporate events within the insurance industry — and while those events are exciting, dynamic, and often truly fabulous, it’s my weddings that fuel my passion. They are where my creativity feels its fullest, where emotion and design meet, and where I feel most connected to the reason I chose this career. 

Today, I bring all of these experiences — the international perspective, the design eye, the calm energy, and the genuine passion for people into every wedding I plan. 
My goal is simple: to create a day that feels like you. Warm, timeless, deeply personal, and unforgettable. A celebration you’ll look back on and think, that was us, through and through.
